For the remainder of our trip, we explored the area of Peru known as the Sacred Valley.
We rafted down the Urabama River.
Enjoying gorgeous scenery as we floated down some 0.1 level rapids.
There were also lots of interesting sights in the area.
Sheep herder in the Sacred Valley
Masks for sale...
Animal fertility symbols atop roofs...
Even a lampshade at a hotel bar...
Hovels with a great view of the ruins...
Pottery produced by local crafstmen...
Using paints like these.
Here we also saw lots of natives in the valley - hey, wait, are those bialys?
Some climbing up to the ruins at Ollantaytambo.
But, we were mostly attracted to the cute kids.
Some in a local school.
Some learning to become carpenters.
Some playing soccer.
But most just hanging around.
It was a trip we'd recommend.
